What you get
On every fishing trip you get the boat, fuel, captain and mate, rods and tackle, bait, fishing licenses for everyone aboard, ice, and your catch cleaned at the dock. The extras are optional: catered meals, and the customary crew tip of 15 to 25 percent when the crew takes care of you. Online booking through FareHarbor adds a booking fee at checkout.
Holding your date
A deposit holds your date, and it is refundable up to 24 hours before your trip. Your exact terms come with your booking. Split six ways, a half day runs about $246 a person, which is why groups book the big boat.

Why do some charters cost more than others?
Boat size, fuel burn, hours, and crew. A 55 foot Hatteras with a captain and mate costs more to run than a bay boat, and the trips are priced accordingly.
Are there hidden fees?
The rate covers the trip and everything listed above. Online booking through FareHarbor adds a booking fee at checkout. Tips are customary but at your discretion, and catered add-ons are quoted before the trip.
How is a private charter different from a party boat?
A private charter is your boat, your crew, your plan, and your fish box. Six friends on the half day pay about $246 each for a private boat on the reef edge.
