Fishing Charters Near Key Largo Thirty minutes to the dock

From Key Largo, the dock is a short, easy drive. The dock is at mile marker 84, a straight shot down US-1 from Key Largo. Leave at 6:15 am, roll south on US-1 through Tavernier, and step aboard a 55 foot Hatteras for the 7 am departure. That is the easy way to do Key Largo fishing charters: you fish the reef edge and the humps that made Islamorada the sportfishing capital of the world, with an air conditioned cabin and a real bathroom on board.

You park on site at Three Waters Resort and Marina, 84001 Overseas Highway. Your catch comes off the boat cleaned and bagged, and rides the half hour home to your fridge. Want the day flipped? Take the 5 pm shark trip: pool all day, sharks at sunset, a late dinner back in Key Largo.

Make a day of it

Fish the morning, then eat what you caught. The Islamorada Shrimp Shack on the Overseas Highway, owned by the Collective, cooks what you bring in. Or split up: anglers on the Hatteras, everyone else on the sunset cruise, all back at the same marina. Either way, Key Largo is half an hour home.
